How we work
As a partnership, we want to make sure we do things properly, and as efficiently and transparently as possible. That involves things like making decisions together, encouraging participation and meeting in public to discuss our progress.

How we’re managing the Partnership
Our governance report sets out a number of proposals for how we’ll manage, and make decisions as, the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.
Service providers, care commissioning groups (CCGs), local authorities and NHS England have all had a say in these proposals. The way we work will be regularly reviewed as we develop and progress with our devolution plans.

Our mission
Everyone involved in the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership is united by one common aim: to make our region an even greater place to live and work.
Our mission is to bring about the greatest and fastest possible improvement to the health and wellbeing of the 2.8m people here.
What we’re going to do
- Transform our health and social care system to help more people stay well and take better care of those who are ill
- Join up our health and social care system with wider public services such as education, skills, work and housing
- Make sure funds are going to the right places and that our system is able to stand on its own two feet financially
- Make sure our services are clinically safe throughout
Achieving these goals will mean some big benefits for the people of Greater Manchester.
